S&W was stablished in 1978 by Charles Smith Sr. (Administration) and Ruth Wilcox (Programmer), both employees of the Jefferson County, Alabama Courthouse. S&W was the first company to computerize Alabama courthouses, beginning with Bibb County in 1978—the first courthouse in the state to go digital—and still a continuous customer today!
 
Currently, S&W continues its development work in the motor vehicle, property tax, and waste management sectors.  We strive for excellence and reliability in each of our application systems while constantly improving our products.  Maintaining a staff of efficient and well-trained computer support personnel allows us to best respond to the needs of our clients.
